This course is designed for students who already have basic drawing skills and are ready to advance their academic graphite drawing techniques. Participants will explore 2D and 3D geometric forms, learn how to construct drawings from simple shapes, and develop a deeper understanding of light, shadow, and texture. Course Content: * Session 1: Understanding 2D and 3D shapes and learning how to build drawings from geometric forms. * Session 2: Light and shadow fundamentals, including value, depth, and volume through shading. * Session 3: Practical drawing exercises using a variety of subjects while applying construction and shading techniques. * Session 4: A complete review of all course concepts, followed by a texture study such as wood, trees, boats, or seascapes to develop realistic graphite rendering skills. By the end of the course, students will be able to create more accurate and realistic drawings with a solid of form, shading, and texture.
